Opinions

I see so many people fighting on social media. I know that not everyone can get along. There are people who drive me up the wall. There are people who I think are just down right idiots. However, we are ALL entitled to our own opinion. We have thoughts and beliefs (some not always good) that we full heartedly believe in.

Now, if someone says in their opinion the grass is orange and sky is pink. Obviously, their opinion is incorrect, unless for whatever reason some is spray painting your yard and it is sunset. Opinions are just that, a thought or idea on something that is not necessarily based on fact or knowledge.

I was once told that I wouldn't amount to anything. No one should ever hear this. This opinion was indeed false, but it was still that. An opinion.

One person might not like what my hair looks like or the job I pursue but that shouldn't matter to me. It is no one’s business as to what job I take or career I decided upon. As long as I am following my creed, "Harm ye non, do as ye will." We all have that rule in all of our books of faith. I don't have a book, I have books of opinions, theories, and beliefs. I am pagan. I was raised in a Christian household and went to church every Sunday. I was told the golden rule, "So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets." - Mathews 7:12. This is the same for everyone. Treat others how you want to be treated. If you are treating people like dirt, bullying them and slandering their names. Then you must take a good look in the mirror and see what others see. You treat them like garbage expect to be treated as such.

Now, I am not telling everyone to go on and be friends with everyone. Like I said above not everyone can be friends. What we can do, is treat people with love and kindness. Treat others with respect! Respect others opinion and agree to disagree. Yes, debate and fight for what you believe in. Sadly, this sounds like a catch 22 but it is true. My mother still loves me even if I classify as a witch. My family still loves me even though I am pansexual and married to a cis mullato male. I have every intention on believing that the sky is blue, and the grass is green. In my opinion Dr. Pepper is the best soda and Iron man is the best super hero. Someone may disagree because it isn't their same view. That is okay! If we were to all think the same, we would be robots and that wouldn't be very fun. Lastly, with some great wisdom. Opinions are like assholes, everyone has one, and some stink. Not everyone needs to know that.
